I just remember I have this pretty extensive collection of photos I took when I was doing a school project on 'implied motion' and I recorded the different steps of applying makeup. I used my roommate as the model and shot it with a small Canon camera in high contrast lighting (dorm lamp! Go cheap studio quality!) I tried to achieve some kind of tension between the object and the flesh with the negative spaces.
